Veritas Group has been commissioned to provide owner’s representation project management services to support and manage the design development, pre-construction, construction, and close-out for the Parking Structure Upgrade Project. The Crown Cabot four story parking structure was built in the late 1980’s and has had multiple structural problems issues due to water infiltration and unstable soil conditions. The team has been engaged to investigate structural damage, and repair compromised building footings, columns, walls, decks, and water proofing on the west side of the parking structure, and install a new drainage system. The scope of the project will consist of excavating down three floor, or about 60’ to perform forensic structural investigation of the structures footings and columns. Due to the location of the parking structure and its adjacency to an existing mid-rise office building; a sizable retaining wall will need to be constructed for safety of personnel and site structures.
